Freigeist Boho Studio represents a convergence of five decades dedicated to arts advocacy, a fervent passion for clothing design, a practice of intricate hand-sewing, and the foundational feminist traditions we were raised with.
To our mom’s, who were the first trailblazers in our world. They spoke their minds, went off to work, taught us to speak up for our beliefs and above all else they taught us to leave no stone unturned in pursuing excellence.
Our daily search is for new materials, unique lace, hand painted silks and design ideas from all over the world. We hail from the United States and European design traditions, hence our name, Freigeist Boho, “Free Spirit”.
A visit to our studio is an experience of browsing and brainstorming. We bring visions to life for everyone, from bikers to dancers, grandmas to tiny ballerinas. During your first visit, we’ll focus on defining your vision. This understanding allows us to suggest the perfect fabrics, paints, laces, stones, and designs to make your dream a reality.
We can decorate the back, front, interior, cuffs, collar and pockets. Occasionally we are asked to place a personal message from the giver to the recipient.
We design for men as often as we do women, whether the design is a gift for a life partner or a personal expression of a comfort coat to wear everyday.
